It was 2013 when former sales manager, CEO, and founder, Paul Ironside, realized that, while companies continued to demand 30% annual growth, the sales productivity gains provided by technology advances were no longer returning expected efficiencies. He saw that the real solution was in improving sales effectiveness—not efficiency.
Recognizing a critical need in the market, Paul built CommercialTribe on the foundations of behavioral-based observational learning. Beginning with video practice and certification, we quickly proved that we could execute critical messaging changes across large sales organizations within weeks.
But observational learning was just the beginning. Our ability to observe reps was the true breakthrough. We expanded our product and perfected our capabilities to observe key sales conversations using roleplay, demo recording, and live call import—enabling sales leaders to observe their teams practice and sell across multiple sales stages.
Today we are building the standard SaaS platform for driving top-line growth by developing sellers and improving manager effectiveness through observation, assessment, and coaching. We continue to innovate and develop new solutions and look forward evolving this category we created: Sales Development and Manager Effectiveness.
